The latest card kit is called Mix and Match Embossing Folders and it is just that – several embossing folders that you will be able to use in so many ways. Apart or together, you’ll love this kit because you can use this set any time of the year. You can check out the subscription box site for the unboxing and a few demos – Crafters Companion Box site. This pretty purple box contains over 220 elements including 3 embossing folders, 1 cut and emboss edge embossing folder, die cut sentiments and flowers, a sentiment stamp set, card blanks, envelopes, gems, ribbons, and lots of beautiful colored and patterned papers. The colors in this set are mainly pinks, yellow/oranges and greens with lots of coordinating patterned paper to match. Of course I have to also use the purple dotted envelopes that all these goodies come wrapped in for a card because I can’t resist it.

Sara Davies, the owner of Crafter’s Companion, always puts together a fun kit that is packed with lots of crafty items and new techniques. My kit was delivered with auto-ship through HSN as always. You can check out Crafter’s Companion website for more information. This kit, as always, is a wonderful bargain. There is a Facebook group that you can join once you subscribe which provides lots of community support and loads of examples; plus, Sara also has a monthly card kit site that you can refer to for demos/project pages.
For stamping, I used the Spectrum Noir quick dry inks and the Harmony Water Reactive inks. I also used the Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers for all of my coloring. I find they are easy to use and blend colors without having to put much thought into it. CC has an amazing range of coloring products that even a novice can use and look like an artist. I also used some chalk paint and guilding wax to change up the look on the embossed images. On some of the cards, I used some old watercolor toppers that CC used to sell on their website. I have tons of them so why not put them to good use! For glue, I used a combination of xyron tape, 3D glue gel and I used collall wet glue to raise up a few of the sentiments. I would also recommend the Crafter’s Companion glass mat. It is a true game changer. Once you work on a glass surface you will agree!
Here are a few of the cards I made – let me know which you like best…..
