Crafter’s Companion Memory Book

8 x 8 Memory Book

So I finally attempted to create my first memory book! I have had the precious memories stamps and dies from Crafter’s Companion for a very long time and I recently purchased the 8 inch album spine too. I have watched countless presentations on Crafters TV and on YouTube, so I took the plunge.

Overall it was relatively easy to build – especially if you have seen Sara or Craig or other demos. I do have some lessons learned to share…. use red liner tape! When building the spine and adhering the pages to the inside of the spine I would absolutely use red liner tape. To glue pages together I would use wet glue. I would also decorate my pages before I glue them into the book (I did not). Lastly, I started with an 8×8 book – I recommend starting smaller with the 4 inch spine. Once you get a feel for this you can graduate up.

Here are the pages from my book. I used various stamps, dies and papers from several of Sara’s Signature Collections – Vintage Diary, Letters from the Heart and Garden of Love. I also used cut and emboss folders, embossing folders, nested inverted dies, spectrum noir inks and guilding wax. Of all the pages I created, the waterfall page is my favorite and it was so simple to make! I am definitely going to incorporate that into more of my day to day cards now that I know how to do it.

Sara Davies, the owner of Crafter’s Companion, always has wonderful demos and shares lots of new techniques. You should absolutely watch a demo or two on Crafter’s TV when starting your project and craft along with them if you can.

Let me know if you have any questions. I would love to see what you create too so please feel free to share! Happy Crafting!!
