The March 2021 club stamps, dies and card kit are really beautiful flowers that you will definitely use all year long. The set is called flowers2layer (and dies) and as you will see by my samples there are so many things you can do with this set. There is a coordinating set called extras4flowers2layer (and dies). The colors in the coordinating paper pad are so pretty and the stamps have lovely script sentiments. There are lots of other great items that were released this month on the Stamps of Life website; so go check them out – you won’t want to miss them!
The monthly card kit is called “Sweet Moments“ and of course it coordinates beautifully with all of the monthly sets. In fact, in the monthly card kit, there are mini flower stamps and dies that match the larger stamps and dies from the die hard club! This kit also contains envelopes, ribbons, puffy floral stickers, gemstones, patterned paper, and the “Sweet Moments” die and shadow die. Ken and Stephanie also included some freebie dies as an added bonus!! The cardstock included in the kit matches everything and features the following colors: Kiwi, Lemonade, Poppy, Ocean, Seaglass, Marigold, Bubble Gum, Cherry and Powdered Sugar. All items can be found on the Stamps of Life website.
I have a few cards to share and I hope you get some inspiration from them…
I decided to watercolor a background and use the large flowers and leaves from the coordinating set they stamp the full image (no outline).
Here is another example of a watercolor card, but this time I used the outline stamp from the monthly stamp set. It looks totally different from the first card!
Next I decided to stick with a watercolor theme, but this time I used the square stamp in the coordinating set to create a fun background and then I cut the flowers out to give you this abstract flower look. Again, totally different.
This is such a fun card. I used the main flower stamp to create a background, and then I took the small circle “paint” stamp from the coordinating set to make the fun colored centers. I then used some small sentiments and hearts from some of the freebie stamps we have been sent in the past for a fun pop on the card.
These flowers are cut from the paper pad that was in the monthly kit\. That makes this card a whole lot easier. I folded the top of the card in half to create a z-fold card and I let the sentiment hang over so that when the card is open (next picture) you will still see the sentiment.
Here is the same card opened up. You will also notice the sentiments are covered when closed but as you open the card you can now see it. It adds a bit of a surprise!
For this next card, I decided to create a drop down opening on the inside but I needed to have the front open in the center. The buttons that came in the card kit look perfect here and it reminds me of a set of double doors opening. Don’t you just love this paper too from the paper pad??
So here is the card opened up and I LOVE how this stands upright. The card is a regular A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5″) but when the center flap opens, the center becomes 8.5″. I was able to extend the piece of patterned paper by covering the seam with a strip of paper so you can’t see that they don’t have a continuous matching pattern. Definitely my favorite card from this month.
This last card is going to be a sympathy card I needed to make. I used one of the background dies recently released and left the little star shapes in so it looks more like a design. Since the card is all in white, I didn’t want to make the flowers too bold so I colored them in with alcohol markers in a coral color. They are the perfect size flowers.
I hope you enjoy these stamp and die sets and remember you can use them to match any time of the year! Change up your colors, embellishments and patterned paper!! I would love it if you shared your projects too! Thanks for joining me! Happy Crafting!
