This kit is absolutely amazing and totally my style. It contains 3D Folders & Stencils and you are going to have so much fun with this kit! You will be able to make all different types of cards with lots of options. You can use the folders alone, add stencils if you like, and mix and match the background stencils too! In the pretty purple box, you’ll find 300 elements including 3D folders, stencils, acrylic stamps, colored card packs and printed papers, 3 different sizes of card blanks with coordinating envelopes, dew drops, gems and ribbons.
Sara Davies, the owner of Crafter’s Companion, always puts together a fun kit that is packed with lots of crafty items and new techniques. My kit was delivered with auto-ship through HSN as always. You can check out Crafter’s Companion website for more information. This kit, as always, is a wonderful bargain. There is a Facebook group that you can join once you subscribe which provides lots of community support and loads of examples; plus, Sara also has a monthly card kit site that you can refer to for demos/project pages.
I used the Spectrum Noir opaque pigment inkpads and the harmony ink pads for blending and shading. The opaque inkpads are more vibrant and the ink stays wetter longer so be sure not to touch the ink until it dries and be careful if you are layering inks too. CC has an amazing range of coloring products that even a novice can use and look like an artist. For glue, I used a combination of xyron tape, 3D glue gel and I used collall wet glue to raise up a few of the sentiments. I would also recommend the Crafter’s Companion glass mat. It is a true game changer. Once you work on a glass surface you will agree!
Here are a few of the cards I made – I hope you get some inspiration….
I could have made a ton more cards with this set if I had more time, but I am sure I will reach for these items again in the future because they were so much fun and easy to make. Don’t be afraid to mix and match the folders and stencils and try new inking techniques. Let me know if you have any questions. I would love to see what you create too so please feel free to share! Happy Crafting!!
