Crafter’s Companion Subscription Box 31 – December 2020

I know I am late in posting the December kit club, but I swear these cards were done in 2020!! This kit was a lot of fun and really got me back on track as I had hit a creative wall last month. I think I was just overwhelmed between work and the kids, the holidays and covid that it took its toll on my creative mind. The December kit is all about Twirling Characters! Its such a fun idea and really wows the recipient. In the pretty purple box, you’ll find 230 elements including metal dies, acrylic stamps, colored card packs and printed papers, 3 different sizes of card blanks with coordinating envelopes, clear dew drops and white twine.

Sara Davies, the owner of Crafter’s Companion, always puts together a fun kit that is packed with lots of crafty items and new techniques. My kit was delivered with auto-ship through HSN as always.  You can check out Crafter’s Companion website for more information.  This kit, as always, is a wonderful bargain. There is a Facebook group that you can join once you subscribe which provides lots of community support and loads of examples; plus, Sara also has a monthly card kit site that you can refer to for demos/project pages.

I used my tri-blend markers to color in all of the images and harmony ink pads for blending. I really enjoy coloring with these markers since it takes all of the thinking out of trying to find the right blending colors. CC has an amazing range of coloring products that even a novice can use and look like an artist. For glue, I used a combination of xyron tape, 3D glue gel and I used collall wet glue to raise up a few of the sentiments. I would also recommend the Crafter’s Companion glass mat.  It is a true game changer.  Once you work on a glass surface you will agree!

Here are a few of the cards I made – I hope you get some inspiration….

Twirling Mermaid! I love how the clear dew drops really look like underwater bubbles.
Here’s a great example of using the characters a little differently. The stamps are so intricate that you will be able to use them for all occasions (not just twirling).
I just love the dolphin image in this set. All of the stamps and dies mix and match which is great. The paper in this set is just adorable too!

I hope you enjoyed these cards! Let me know if you have any questions. I would love to see what you create too so please feel free to share! Happy Crafting!!
