Fold-Its Part 2 – Using Partial Fold-Its (Shaped Cards) On Your Cards

This post not only shares big love for the Fold-its cards by the Stamps of Life but also new and exciting ways you can use these die sets. A few weeks ago I shared how you can make your Fold-Its into easel cards (stand-up cards). This week, I am showing how you can use partial Fold-Its on the face of your cards for a new look.

Since Fold-Its are typically A2 in size (5 1/2 x 4 1/4) they are too large to add more than one to the front of a card. I really love the oversized look of the Fold-Its, but sometimes I want to be able to use more than one at a time. Here is the solution – use them “in parts” on your card. I have a few examples below. You can mix and match any of them for some really unique cards:

Using the tiered cake and present dies from TSOL on HSN, I made this really fun Birthday card.
For National Coffee Day, I used the “to go” coffee Fold-Its on the front of this slimline card.
I really wanted to use the duck and the onesie Fold-Its together and with this technique I was able to do just that!

Just a few last tips: Make sure you overlap the Fold-Its off the card and then after your glue dries, go back and cut them to match the shape of your card base. I found it easiest using the slimline card dies for this technique since it gives you more space on the card. I hope you enjoyed this fun technique! Feel free to share your creations too! Happy Crafting!!
