The August kit is all about Modern Edge’ables! If you have ever used an edge’able, then you already know how many different ways they can be used. If you have never used an edge’able, then you are in for a treat!! You can use them as silhouettes or on the edge of a card, on the top of a card or even cut into cards like a stand-up easel card. Again this month, I am really sorry this post is so late but my kit was delayed in shipping (probably due to covid as most everything is impacted). In the pretty purple box, you’ll find 300 elements including metal edge’able dies, acrylic stamps, colored card packs and printed papers, 3 different sizes of card blanks with coordinating envelopes, gems, pearls, and ribbon in different colors and sizes. Everything in the box coordinates so well too!
Sara Davies, the owner of Crafter’s Companion, always puts together a fun kit that is packed with lots of crafty items and new techniques. My kit was delivered with auto-ship through HSN as always. You can check out Crafter’s Companion website for more information. This kit, as always, is a wonderful bargain. There is a Facebook group that you can join once you subscribe which provides lots of community support and loads of examples; plus, Sara also has a monthly card kit site that you can refer to for demos/project pages.
In addition to the kit, I used a few other Crafter’s Companion products. I used sparkle pens and harmony inks. CC has an amazing range of coloring products that even a novice can use and look like an artist. For glue, I used a combination of xyron tape, 3D glue gel and I used collall wet glue to raise up a few of the ribbons. I would also recommend the Crafter’s Companion glass mat. It is a true game changer. Once you work on a glass surface you will agree!
Here are a few samples of the cards I made – I hope you get some inspiration from my cards….
