Creating a Pouch Envelope for Slimline Cards

I don’t know about you, but I am hooked on creating slimline cards! I love the extra space it gives you to tell a story or add extra bling! The problem for me is deciding what envelope to use to mail my custom cards. A standard A10 envelope will fit slimline cards, but to me, they always look so formal since they are mainly used for business letters (or junk mail). I started making these fun “pouch envelopes” for slimline cards and I love the look. You can use colored cardstock or patterned paper or decorate them any way you want.

I put together a quick video (with the help of my daughter Victoria) so you can see how easy it really is to make these envelopes. I am also attaching pictures so you can clearly see the dimensions and follow the steps.

Supplies needed: Scoreboard, scissors, 1 piece of cardstock, double sided tape and a corner rounder punch
Score and cut as indicated

Just a few last tips: Use a strong double sided tape or glue to seal the envelope edges, and remember you can decorate them to match your cards if you like too! I hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial! Happy Crafting!!
