The Stamps of Life May 2020 Stamp, Die Hard and Card Kit Clubs

The May club stamps, dies and card kit are so cute and punny this month! Lots of great items were released this month that I won’t have time to mention so go check out the Stamps of Life website to see the rest of the May releases – you won’t want to miss them!

The monthly stamp and die sets for May feature tortie2stamp (and dies), with two more coordinating sets called moretorties2stamp and words4tortie. You will just love the adorable and “punny” sayings that go along with these sets. THREE new fold-its were added this month: the butterfly fold-it, the duck fold-it and the donut fold-it. All fit perfectly in an A2 envelope. You’ll also see below that we used the new Circle Dot Stencil on one of the cards – it’s creates a really fun background. The May monthly card kit is called the Special Friend Collection. As expected, it coordinates beautifully with all of the monthly sets, and it is filled with colorful embellishments, envelopes, ribbons, patterned paper, puffy stickers, enamel dots, a fun stamp set, the “special friend” die and shadow die along with a really nice sized flower die set (I made a card below with it). And this month, Ken and Stephanie decided to throw in a few extra die sets that they had in their warehouse – for free! How generous of them!! This kit is worth it just for all of the dies! The cardstock included in the kit matches everything and features the following colors: Green Apple, Banana, Blue Jay, Spearmint, Ocean, Blueberry, Cherry, Gingersnap, and Powdered Sugar. All items can be found on the Stamps of Life website

I have a bunch of cards to share and I hope you get some inspiration from them…

This card my 13 year old daughter, Victoria, created for my nephews graduation…
I think this is my favorite card – The circle connects a suspended rectangle for a unique card arrangement. The patterned paper is fun and says it all!

I hope you have fun with these sets, and since we are all have more down time at home these days, you should have lots of time to make your own card creations! I would love it if you shared your projects! Thanks for joining me!  Happy Crafting!

  2. These cards are beautiful! How did you make the fun fold A2 card. What are the measurements, I would also like the measurements for the Dotted circle one too!
    Thank you!

    1. Thanks so much Lori – I am so sorry I didn’t reply sooner. I missed this comment. The fun fold measurements are listed in an old blog post of mine: https://cardsbydecaro.blog/2019/10/14/how-to-make-easy-fun-fold-card-bases/ As for the circle, I can give you an approximate. I cut a top fold A2 card base and then cut the front so the top flap is only about 2 (or 2.25) inches. Cut the circle (or whatever shape you want, but measure the size to see what fits nicely on the card front. It also depends on how much you want the shape to overlap. Lastly cut the same size rectangular piece as the top (2 or 2.25 inches) and align at the bottom. Make sure the shape in the middle overlaps enough so the card is sturdy. I hope that helps!! Thanks so much for your kind words and let me know if you need further measurements.
