The April kit is so much fun and makes such unique cards. This kit is called the Floral Decoupage Kit and these cards are truly gorgeous. In the pretty purple box, you’ll find 275 elements including metal dies, acrylic stamps, card blanks in different sizes with coordinating envelopes, printed and solid papers, 48 sheets of decoupage flowers (2 types), ribbons and pearls that coordinate with all.
Sara Davies, the owner of Crafter’s Companion, has put together this really amazing kit, and it introduces yet another unique card technique with beautiful floral layers. My kit was delivered with auto-ship through HSN as always. You can check out Crafter’s Companion website for more information. This kit, as always, is a wonderful bargain. There is a Facebook group that you can join once you subscribe which provides lots of community support and loads of examples; plus, Sara also has a monthly card kit site that you can refer to for demos/project pages.
Other than glue and ink, I didn’t use anything extra to make these cards. For glue, I used a combination of xyron tape, foam pads to add dimension, and I also used collall wet glue for most of the projects. I would also recommend the Crafter’s Companion glass mat. It is a true game changer. Once you work on a glass surface you will agree!
I was able to create these gorgeous cards so quickly and they really look like they took a long time to make. There are also other decoupage sets that are available on the HSN website that you may want to take a look at as they offer different floral decoupage toppers/stamps/dies. Take a look and let me know which is your favorite!
Let me know if you have any questions. I would love to see what you create too so please feel free to share! Happy Crafting!!
