The Stamps of Life October 2019 Stamp, Die Hard and Card Kit Clubs

The October club stamps and dies are really fun and versatile. They can be mixed and matched and used for all of the upcoming holidays or for more generic cards. This month features festive sprigs and pinecones as part of the stamp and die hard clubs called pinecones2stamp and pinecone2stamp dies. As an add on, a really fun stamp set called christmasgreetings2stamp was also released that coordinates well. Another fun background stamp was released called woodgrain2stamp as well as a snowflake background die set. I used both of these in my cards below. The October Card Kit ties all of this together, and it is called the “Just Because” collection. The paper and patterned paper pad features the following colors: Chocolate, Cranberry, Ocean, Sea Glass, Kiwi, Artichoke, Ginger Snap, Cloud, and of course, powdered sugar. All items can be found on the Stamps of Life website

You will notice that I used a few extras that are not included in the monthly card kit. I used two different A2 card bases from the Stamps of Life. I used the ribbon edge A2 card base and the elegant edge A2 card base. I also used the bookmark dies because I just love to make bookmarks. Lastly, I used some stamps and dies from the pilgrimboy2stamp set. This one has some really great sentiments included!

I hope you enjoy the cards I made this month…. let me know which is your favorite! I always like to share my favorite, but this time I am having trouble choosing just one. I really like the “Season’s Greeting” card below because it has so many fun elements to it, but I also love the “Joy to the World” card as well. You decide….

I colored in the wooden snowflake with copic markers to match!
I wove the twine from the card kit through the ribbon edge.
I taped off the square in the middle and used ink and sparkle pens to make the background and I used a black marker to doodle around the edges. I also used left over snowflakes from the snowflake background die set in the center.
I used the snowflake die to cut into the front of this card and then I backed it with tissue paper for a very soft and gentile look. They look like delicate snowflakes in person! I just love the button and ribbon embellishment that came in the card kit too!
The “Just Because” can be used for all sorts of cards – I thought a thanksgiving theme would be fun.
There are so many fun elements to this card – I used the elegant edge card and turned it sideways and used it backwards so the elegant edge is in the back. I also folded back the front flap to make a z-fold. This adds dimension and movement to the card. I also think the holographic paper coordinates well with the patterned paper.

These were such fun cards to make – I hope you take away some ideas for your next card! Please let me know if you have any feedback and I would love to see what you make with the October kits too!

Thanks for joining me!  Happy Crafting!
