Crafter’s Companion Subscription Box 17 – October 2019

This box is just plain yummy! It’s all about shaker cards and the amount of shaker material you get in this kit is incredible! If you love shimmer and sparkle and fun then this is one you will love. There are lots of accessories in this kit and plenty of material to make a ton of shaker cards.  Let’s take a look at what is in this month’s kit…

Sara Davies, the owner of Crafter’s Companion, has given you just about everything you need to make truly beautiful cards. The September kit includes over 225 elements in total! You will get 14 metal dies, 36 clear acrylic stamps, 4 large bags of confetti sequins in 4 different colors, ribbon, adhesive pearls, 1 roll of double sided foam tape, 6 pieces of thick acetate, 24 sheets of patterned paper, 24 sheets of solid paper, and 18 card blanks in three different sizes with coordinating envelopes. My kit was delivered with auto-ship through HSN as always.  You can check out Crafter’s Companion website for more information.  This kit is a wonderful bargain. Each kit offers different items and will show you new techniques.

There is a Facebook group that you can join once you subscribe which provides lots of community support and loads of examples, plus Sara also has a monthly card kit site that you can refer to for demos and project pages.

In addition to this kit, I used several sheets of Crafter’s Companion Stamping Card. This is a very heavy weight white cardstock that is excellent for stamping and also can be used for layers or card blanks. I also used my Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers for the little bit of coloring on the stamped items. To secure my projects, I mainly used collall wet glue, but I also used a 3-D silicon glue to help raise some of my elements.   Crafter’s Companion sells a 3-D glue gel that adds dimension depending on how thick you lay it on.  I highly recommend this glue!!!  I would also recommend the Crafter’s Companion glass mat.  It is a true game changer.  Once you work on a glass surface you will agree!

Here are a few of the cards I made from this kit……. I tried to use the dies in different ways and not just as ordinary circles or squares. There really is a ton of extra material, so I may be able to make even more than 18 cards.
