I have been a stamp and die hard club member for a very long time but this is the first month as a card kit club member too! As of this week I am officially a gold club member! The monthly stamp and dies feature tropical2stamp and the August card kit is called Thanks So Much. All other products used are from the Stamps of Life website. I had a little help from one of my daughters, Victoria, who is 12 and loves the Stamps of Life as much as I do.
There is so much you can do with these products besides making cards so keep an open mind. In the cover photo above, you’ll notice we made a flower lei by gluing the hibiscus flowers back to back and stringing them together. It’s fun and unexpected!
The first card below features lots of patterned paper from the card kit. The paper pad has so many great colors like blue jay, ocean, kiwi, tangerine, guava, banana, lemonade and spearmint. This pad is called Thanks So Much and the card base is the exclusive flip-its card circle which is one of my all time favorites.

This next card uses the stamps from tropical2stamp and toucan2stamp from the monthly card kit. I used copic markers for most of the coloring.

This next card was created by Victoria – she wanted to create a card with a distressed look and I think she did a great job! She used the tropical leaf stencil that came in the kit and several of Stephanie’s mini inkpads. She roughed up the edges and added some embellishments that were part of the card kit.

The next card features more of the patterned paper and embellishments from the card kit as well as a scalloped border die. The colors in this card are so vibrant!

Even though this kit features tropical themes, I wanted show that you can also make more generic cards too. The paper pad has a large variety of papers. I created a gift package card by using the large bow die on the front with fun polka dots.

The last card I created is my favorite of the bunch. I used the gingerbread girl fold-it and put her in a tropical dress also from the paper pad. She needs a vacation!

These were such fun cards to make – I hope you enjoyed them! Please let me know your feedback and I would love to see what you make with the August kits too!
Thanks for joining me! Happy Crafting!
