Crafter’s Companion Subscription Box 11 – April 2019

This month’s kit is all about using foil transfers. If you have never used transfers before, this is a great time to learn. If you have tried them, I think you’ll be surprised to see all of the options included in this kit. Not only are you getting a ton of different patterns and words, but they are in gold and silver and black and white and some even in colors!

Sara Davies, the owner of Crafter’s Companion, has filled the subscription box again with so many goodies. The April box has 295 elements!!! Yes, 295! Included are clear stamps, colored cardstock, patterned paper, ribbons, card toppers, 24 cards in several shapes, sizes and colors with coordinating envelopes, and of course, a ton of foil transfers and rub-ons. My kit was delivered with auto-ship through HSN as always.  You can check out Crafter’s Companion website for more information.  This kit is truly a wonderful bargain. Each kit offers different items and will show you new techniques.

There is a Facebook group that you can join once you subscribe which provides lots of community support and loads of examples; plus, Sara also has a monthly card kit site that you can refer to for demos/project pages.

In addition to this kit, I did use a few of the oval torn dies from Crafter’s Companion. All of the inks used were Spectrum Noir Harmony inks. To secure my projects, I used a combination of tape adhesive and wet glue for most of the projects, but I also used a 3-D silicon glue to help raise some of my elements.   Crafter’s Companion sells a 3-D glue gel that adds dimension depending on how thick you lay it on.  I highly recommend this glue!!! I also love the Collal all purpose wet glue – it works great on all sorts of cardstock.  I would also recommend the Crafter’s Companion glass mat.  It is a true game changer.  Once you work on a glass surface you will agree!

Here’s a quick video of the cards I made so far. I have so many more materials left that I think I will get way more than 24 cards out of this set – and the papers are gorgeous!

Some of the cards use the transfers as subtle backgrounds and others feature them. Here are a few where they were used in the background….

Here are some used as focal points where they are more prominent…

And lastly, here are a few where I added some cool paper tricks along with the transfers for a bit more eye catching cards…

I hope you enjoyed all of these examples.  The papers are so fun and so vibrant and I think you’ll find the transfers simple to use. Please feel free to share your creations – I would love to see them!! Happy Crafting!!
