I am barely making it in for the month, but I did it!! I had every intention of working on this earlier this month but between end of school activities and dance with the kids and at least a dozen graduation card requests – it just didn’t happen.
I have to say this kit is incredible!! Sara Davies, the owner of Crafter’s Companion, has filled this box with so many wonderful goodies!! It is well worth the price! Including shipping, I believe the kits (or at least most) will cost less than $30 per month. I signed up for auto-ship through HSN so I am now enrolled monthly. I am sure you can check out Crafter’s Companion website for more information too. Each kit will offer different items and will show you new techniques.
Onto the kit – it is chock full of paper and embellishments including ribbon in varying sizes and colors, pearls and flowers; die cut toppers; rub-on sentiments in black and white; plus, cards that are standard A2 in size as well as in fancy shapes along with coordinating envelopes. This kit even includes two intricate edge dies! Take a look at the full list above. Crafter’s Companion has a great website to go with the subscriptions including demos and project sheets. There is also a Facebook group that you can join once you subscribe! So much community support!!!
Here are a few of my first creations. At a minimum, you can make 24 cards, but there is so much paper and other items included, you will be able to make more.
The first card (top left) is a center step-up stair card and I used both of the edge dies. The second card (top right) is a simple A2 card and I have used the beautiful paper and edge die to embellish. I also used one of the die cut toppers for the sentiment. Add a little distress ink and it really helps to finish off the card. The 3rd card I made (bottom left) took a little more effort, but I was able to use some of the scraps from the other cards. I did a simple basket weave pattern with no particular order to the paper and I really love how it turned out. I also used a topper and flowers from the kit.
I will try to post each month from the kit so you can see all of the different offerings and the techniques Sara is sharing. Next month….. coloring and blending with sparkle pens!!
