Victoria and Olivia’s 11th Birthday!

Where has the time gone? It seems just like yesterday that the twins were babies. In the blink of an eye they are young adults! They have become so much more independent and it’s hard to admit that they don’t need Rich and I as much anymore ☹️

We are so blessed to have two beautiful and smart girls that are honest and respectful and have huge hearts 💕. They are best friends and they always look out for each other. I hope they never change!  I am so lucky to be their Mom and I know Rich couldn’t be a prouder Dad.

This year, I tried to make cards that were more mature. The girls are at an age where they are starting to care about their hair and clothes and all things girly (pray for Rich now).  Victoria still loves purple and pink and Olivia loves blue.

The girls and I love watching HSN on craft day, and we try to stay up starting at midnight (not on school nights of course). I record the whole 24 hours of craft shows so we don’t miss a thing while we are at work and school. We ❤️ watching Sara Davies and Anna Griffin and Jennifer Tryon and so many other talented crafters. I know I get a lot of my inspiration from them. Victoria’s card uses a lot of new does from Sara’s  glamour collection. Olivia’s card uses one of Anna’s newest dies from HSN too.

Victoria’s card is all about glamour. She is more quiet and aware of what is happening around her at school and with friends – she’s a great observer. Her card is all about putting her in the spotlight for her birthday!

Victoria’s card base is from Sizzix and the Stamps of Life and it’s the gift card flip it. This is truly one of my favorite go-to dies. I love cards with movement and this one is so versatile.  The girly dies are all from the glamour collection from Crafter’s Companion.  I also used CCs glitter cardstock. It’s anazing. Check out my other blog posts for examples of glitter cards. I used L’il Inker Design Stamps and Cas-ual Fridays stamps for the sentiments. On the inside right flap, I created that paper using  one of CC’s 3d embossing folders and distress inks and oxides from Tim Holtz.

For Olivia, I actually had an entirely different card made but it didn’t feel like it fit her. So, I started over and decided to pick something more casual and simple which suits Olivia’s style. She likes girly things, but more cozy and comfy. It has a little bling, but not too much. The card base is from Anna Griffin and the sentiment is from Cas-ual Fridays stamps.  I added some Velcro under the purse flap at the top to give it more of an “open me” feel. I used white ribbon for the strap and some adhesive backed bling and her card was done.

So as I sit here and think back on all of their birthdays past,  I can’t help but cherish the memories of those two cute little babies with chubby legs and big bright eyes and giggles that could make anyone laugh. I am so thankful to have these memories and I am looking forward to so many new ones. Happy Birthday girls! We ❤️❤️ you!!!!

  1. The cards are beautiful! It’s crazy how fast kids grow up…. I always tell my husband my biggest wish would be to have my three boys little again, even if it were just for a day. However, I’m proud of the wonderful men they have grown to be. Happiest of Birthdays to your girls!
