Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!! I can hardly believe we are at the end of October already.  It seems this year has flown by even faster than the last!  So since we are at Halloween, I thought I should post a card I worked on a few weeks ago.

I had so much fun making this card.  Karen Burniston has made it so simple to create a twist panel pop up card – no measuring needed! So I would recommend watching Karen’s video on how to make the pop up panel/card at least the first time or two you try this.  Once you get the feel for what is happening, it is so much easier.  Choose the colors you are using and it is that simple.

As for the adorable little characters and the haunted house used on the front of the card, they are all from Cheery Lynn Designs.  The monsters come in 2 sets: set 1 includes the Were Wolf and Dracula and set 2 includes Frankenstein and the Zombie.  Cheery Lynn has a lot of fun items at really good prices too.  The pumpkins are from an old Halloween set from  Elizabeth Craft Designs  and the “BOO” letters are from Altenew and they are bold and so versatile. To finish off the edges on the inside and the outside of the card, I used an old favorite punch of mine from Martha Stewart – Edge Punch Scallop Dot.  I find I reach for my punches pretty often to add some finishing touches to my cards.  I colored in my monsters with my Zig clean color brush markers.  I have a few favorites that I swear by, and my Zigs are definitely one of them.  Lastly, I popped on a bunch of googly eyes and this Halloween card is done!

I hope everyone has fun trick or treating!! Enjoy!
